You may have already noticed a small book cover in the upper left corner of this website, but now, this is a proper announcement for my third book containing Hanjie puzzles.
Hanjie Griddlers Nonograms: Whatever the name, it’s the same game
Picross had to be dropped from the title for legal reasons. More about that when the time comes. Anyway… the book contains only
new Hanjie puzzles, previously unpublished and I dare say the puzzles are even better than before. Why? Because the images were
designed by two artists and I turned them into puzzles. They are more beautiful than my drawings and also slightly more difficult than before (or so I think). Thanks to “
Ana V.” and “
PurpleBoxStudio” for creating the images.
The introduction in the book is more complete than before. In addition to the “
unknown cells” solving technique, it also contains an explanation of a more advanced Picross solving technique called “
cornering“. There is no guessing required in my puzzles, you have to use the logic to solve them and these techniques will help you do that.
Almost all puzzles in the book, and there are 100 of them, are 20×20 in size. A few are bigger, 25×25 and 30×30.
Oh… and I almost forgot… there is even
a story hidden in the book, told by the images. Can you find it? Again, thanks to “
Ana V.” for the idea. 🙂
That’s it for this season, folks. No more books until next year. 🙂
